Whilst not gaming news, being a clothing website this has been brought to our attention. Cafepress, one of the largest Print on Demand (pod) companies out there allows users to create shops selling their own designs for the prices they wish to sell them at.
Not any more it seems, cafepress has emailed their shop keepers stating they will now set the price and only give the shop keepers 10% of the price it’s sold for. For some people this means thousands of dollars will be lost, with the average markup being between 20 and 40%.
The Cafepress forums have already exploded with many shop keepers saying they are shutting up shop and moving to other companies such as zazzle. Is this the end for Cafepress? If you upset your workers and they all leave, how can you run a business?
