Nintendo World 2011 News Roundup

Over the Weekend Nintendo Japan held a 3DS event where they revealed the Japanese release date, price and launch titles as well as showing off numerous games.

The 3DS will launch in Japan on February 26th, 2011 and will cost ¥25,000 (which is just over £190) and will be available in Aqua Blue or Cosmo Black.

The confirmed release titles are:

* Battle of the Giants: Dinosaurs 3D
* Nintendogs+Cats
* Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle
* Puzzle Bobble 3D
* Ridge Racer 3D
* Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition
* Samurai Warriors: Chronicle
* Winning Eleven Soccer 3D

Nintendo also revealed that the 3DS will last between 3 – 5 hours after a full charge time of 3.5 hours. (the DS lasted upwards of 8 hours after a full charge). It’s still unclear whether that figure includes all features like 3D, Wi-Fi enabled, so the battery life between charges may yet fall lower.

Nintendo will be holding US and EU/UK events over the next couple ofweeks, so be sure to check back here for all the latest news from those events.
